Castle Crashers, is one of the most epic games I played.

If you don't know what it is, I will try to explain in this spoiler.
Spoiler:
Castle Crashers is a 2D 4 player co op fighting game where you fight great numbers of foes as you go though the level. There many characters to play as, but at first you start as one of the four main knights. You can also level up the characters and pick what stats to level up.
There's a world map to pick, and replay levels. It's an great game to play with friends.
It has a lot of gore though, but every thing is cartoonish.
This game is for Xbox360, and PlayStation3, you have to buy it online too. Very fun game though.

This is easily my favorite game on Xbox Live and by the far the best dollars-to-fun ratio I've gotten on the XBox. I've played through the main campaign several times through and am not stopping now.
Definitely one of the best brawlers I've have ever seen, not to mention one of the best co-op games around.
There are few games more gratifying that running a campaign with a couple of friends, whether online or all sitting at the same console.

If you have an xbox, get it. If you already have it, we should play (Archangelx85. Hit me up).

Behemoth, the developers of Castle Crashers, have a new game they are working on. It's called Battle Block Theater. I had a chance to play this game at this years San Diego Comic-Con. It was a lot of fun. A little more challenging than Castle Crashers, but still a lot of fun. I was able to play through an entire level with my 5 year old on a cabinet! They had Castle Crashers and Battle Block Theater in multiplayer cabinets! It was awesome!

I mainly did not want to make my post big, so I put it in a spoiler.

By the way, I did hear about the new game,
I kinda wish it was a fighting game like Castle Crashers, but I bet it will be fun. :)

Though blacksinow is right.
I did not know this at the time,
but Castle Crashers is a side-scrolling beat-em-up with some RPG elements.
I did not know of that many game genres when I made this topic so I simply called it a fighting game.

There needs to be a better term than 'RPG' is the problem. We all know what it means (a leveling system and increasingly powerful weapons or armor) when applied to games, but...RPG means 'Role-playing-game'.

I propose we create a new term to describe a game that has 'RPG' elements.

And also, that we nominate Castle Crashers for piles of awesome and loot.

Actually yeah, I've had similar sentiments. The label seems to be thoroughly skewed.
