Unless, you know, you feel like asking me... In that case, go ahead. The things I tell you will not be wrong.

What is your signature a reference to? Or is it something you just came up with on your own?

It's just something I heard on the internet a long time ago... don't remember where exactly but I think it was another forum. (I just realized that I haven't changed my sig in years.

Hard to say, I regularly listen to and love pretty much all of them... but lately I find my favourite to be the hardcore and jungle of the early 90s, as well as the more jungle-influenced flavours of today's drum & bass. Pretty much anything with breakbeats, really...
I'm also very partial towards the Hard Trance of the early 2000s (this kind of sound) and some of the earlier (only slightly less cheesy than the later stuff
) Happy Hardcore from the 90s, as that's how I first got into electronic music. (the links all lead to different songs to show you the kind of sounds I'm talking about)
But yeah, I pretty much love them all.

Is the screaming produced when you stick your finger into a light socket considered electronic music?

That's interesting, thanks for the links!
Do you like goa trance? I do like it, it's kind of a pot-smoking hippie genre but it's pretty interesting to listen to.

Yeah, I love it. It's not really something I regularly keep up with, but I have some compilations/mixes and certain artists that I like enough to track down most of their releases (Infected Mushroom and a South African producer called Artifakt being two of the main ones). I like that it's almost never generic... It's not formulaic like some other 4-to-the-floor genres tend to be, and the sounds being produced are usually pretty innovative.
And yeah, it does tend to get associated with drugs quite a bit (most often psychedelic drugs, for obvious reasons), but I take the music on its own merit.

You could compare it to a genre called noisecore. That genre is about as pleasant to listen to as the sounds of someone sticking their finger in a light socket.Chozon1 wrote:Is the screaming produced when you stick your finger into a light socket considered electronic music?
