Interesting. If there truly is to be a sequel to XIII, I'd of course be interested. My major concern though is where they'd take the story... I can see one or two possible routes, but I thought FFXIII ended quite well as it is.
We shall see though.
Thoughts?
Final Fantasy XIII... 2?

Yeah... not sure about this, especially since they haven't released the other XIII games. O.o

You were telling him about Buddha, you were telling him about Mohammed in the same breath. You never mentioned one time the Man who came and died a criminal’s death...

I know, it'll probably be three years minimum before we even get an official announcement. :p

Oh, I see. So... 2013 at the earliest.
<_<
In all seriousness though, it probably won't take all that long. It's not that they have to develop a whole new engine/design new gameplay/etc. Just gotta write the story. Which could take a while in and of itself... but we'll see.

Haha, from what I hear, they're using discarded assets from FFXIII. Soooo.... it shouldn't take that long.
The real question is, when are we gonna see Versus XIII?

Heh, Versus... I pretty much have to keep reminding myself that it's in production, considering how little we hear of it. >_<

Yes. I'm quite aware.
That doesn't mean that I don't take every advantage to taunt him with reasons to find a way to see it.

So I know that you can't watch the trailer because of your connection, but for the rest of us (and maybe for you, should you find a way to do this), here it is, officially released and in English:

I still haven't played
I'm still not sure about changing the fighting style, I loved my turn based Final Fantasy.

At it's core FFXIII is still turn based. It's just a... faster... more intense turn based than in previous installments in the series.
I personally liked the system, probably my favorite out of all the FFs so far (as much as I love traditional JRPG turn based stuff, FFXIII is just so... smooth).
