I'm glad another person around here has watched it... now I don't have to be the only The Wire fanboy 'round here.

How'd you like Season 5? Personally, I thought it was weaker than the rest of the series, though it still had some great moments.
Spoiler:
The last scene with Michael and Dukie broke my heart, and I almost bawled during Bubbles' speech. And it was nice that Bubbles got a happy ending... it made the hard realism and tragedy of the series a lot easier to bear.

The season started off kind of slow, but that's how it is with most of the seasons. I loved Season 5 from about halfway through to the end... probably the one I liked the least was Season 2, for some reason.
Spoiler:
and yeah, I loved Bubbles' speech and that he got a happy ending... and that scene with Michael and Dukie was a tear jerker, especially with how Dukie ends up. I did like that Michael ended up being the new Omar, though. :P Overall, an amazing finale. After seeing a few otherwise incredible shows with endings that didn't resolve anything, it's nice to see such a strong ending from such a great show.

Just finished Californication, season 1.

I'd heartily recommend it, except that it tends towards pretty sexual.

That said, I completely identified with the main character, Hank Moody, probably more than any character ever. It got to the point that I was exceedingly angry at what was happening in front of me... which never happens when I'm watching a show.

You were telling him about Buddha, you were telling him about Mohammed in the same breath. You never mentioned one time the Man who came and died a criminal’s death...

We're working our way through the series again, but I think we're gonna start it over once more... my dad might watch it with us. o.o

Babylon 5

This show rocks. Whatever "meh" feeling I had when I started it... is totally gone. 20 episodes into the first season, and I'm loving it. XD

Mad Men - About a third of the way through Season 2. My girlfriend and I have been watching it together. Really enjoying the depth of the characters... I love a show you can discuss and analyze after you finish watching.

or shall I say, the JAAAAAAAACKEEEEEET! That I took off Rocco Demeo... he had the reputation of being the toughest guy in Essex County... but he never came back after I got through with him.
