I've seen a bit of stuff over the past month or whatever.
Six Feet Under. As good as anything. Writing is top notch, and I love the characters dearly. I'm around half way through season 3.
Babylon 5. Got the first season, have only watched an episode. Not sure if I like it or not. Maybe I'm just spoiled by BSG, but the special effects and characters make me go... bleh. Still pretty interesting though, and will watch more sooner or later. (won't make a judgment after only one episode)
And speaking of BSG, I finally got season 3 of that. (for $11.49
) Incredible as always. Still one of my favorite shows ever.
The X-Files. Only in season 1 (still), but it's great. Love the show. Watching it with the family, and they love it too.
Deadwood. This show... so good. I've seen the first season so far, and I love it. It's a western that is more than just gun and fistfights. So. Good. The serial story, characters I really like, great writing, some humor that will surprise you... love it. I'm not going to recommend it loosely however, as it is easily the most profane show I've ever seen out there. It's supposed to portray how the old west was, and if this is the case... they sure did like to speak cussin'.

Yeah, pretty much this. The first season spends most of it's time introducing everything and everyone; the development really doesn't kick in until the later part of the season.ccgr wrote:yeah Babylon's CGI is dated but the character development is great...we're on season 3 now... fascinating story
and the special effects suck, but it was a 90's show....

Ah, gotcha. I do plan on watching more as it certainly had an interesting setting.
More Deadwood.

Six Feet Under - I keep seeing people saying that this is better than The Wire, so I finally checked out the first 3 episodes. I like it so far, don't love it yet but then it took me a lot longer to get into The Wire and some of my other favorite shows. I'm definitely going to keep watching.

Quoted for truth. Seriously, the show just gets more amazing the further you get into it.Bruce_Campbell wrote:Six Feet Under - Midway through season 1, show gets better and better.
Last saw more Deadwood. A few episodes into the third and final season. Why do all the best shows have to be short?

Yep. Five episodes in. So far... becoming a fan. If what I'm told is true, I'll be a big fan by nightfall.

Leverage, pretty good show.
Love the characters, Artisan and Elliot's conversations are always funny.

It's Always Sunny in Philidelphia - One of those good-in-small-doses shows.
