The red hood was the best of the animated batmans IMO.

Zombieland

Hilarious movie. Great balance of comedy and horror

Man I liked that so much more than I thought I would. O_o I would even classify it as awesome.

I've watched sooo many movies recently...

But the only one really of note is Ghost Protocol, which I thoroughly enjoyed. It was a little cheesier than I expected, but a lot of fun.

Freaking epic. The end was a ton better than the first one.

Police Academies 1 & 2 - it's been years since I have seen them, funny but I forgot that topless women scenes were required to be in them. :\

A poor man's The Fighter this is not. Released in 2011, it performed poorly at the box office and I had only heard about it through a boredom-induced trailer watching frenzy. Such a shame. This movie is one of the best movies of 2011. Featuring Tom Hardy, Nick Nolte, and Joel Edgerton, everyone was fantastic and Nolte should've been nominated for his role. I don't think he was, unfortunately. It draws some similarities to The Fighter, with a very damaged family seeking to make amends for past crimes in the backdrop of fighting in MMA.

It's a very good movie, and it has become one my favorite movies of 2011.

9.5/10

Again, watched a ton of movies recently, here's what makes the cut:

Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows - I had only recently watched the first Sherlock Holmes in full and came out feeling slightly disappointed. However, this is definitely a worthy sequel, with a tighter plot and a better villain and ending, bigger action and set pieces. Some parts are a little bit overblown, but I was thoroughly entertained and pleasantly surprised. Many may disagree, but I enjoyed this one far more than its predecessor.

Midnight in Paris - This is my first experience with Woody Allen's work, a shame with his extensive filmography, but absolutely loved it. The writing was sharp, the characters were strong, and the cinematography rich. For me it was one of those movies that I wanted to watch again the second I was done with it; Gil is the perfect wandering protagonist. I can only hope to have ideas as big as this someday. (Note to self: Watch The Purple Rose of Cairo asap)

I liked it.

The Last Man On Earth.

Vincent Price movie based on 'I Am Legend'. At least that's what I think the book was called.

Rather a slow horror film, meant more to be freakisin your head than to your eyes. The concept is frightening (especially for the time period, which unlike nowatimes, was not inundated with 'virusturnsstuffundead' movies), but it's not really ever explained to any depth. It appears as though the vampire zombies could be given meds to turn back into semi-humans (though still afraid of daylight, mirrors and garlic. :P ) as long as they had access to the vaccine. But it's not explained whether it was given to infected humans or to the undead, and is rather confusing.

There were several large plot twists I was not expecting though. Good stuff, though not enough that I'd recommend it to someone who did not have the patience and understanding for a '64 B&W B horror flick.
