You got /experienced. That is, as long as the part isn't too pricey, part of the fun. I don't know anyone who replaces, rebuilds, or creates electronic things who hasn't released the magic blue smoke at least once. Now you know a problem to look out for, and you can help someone else out down the road if they're working on replacing a PSP LCD. ^_^
Take heart that your only loss was $15 and some time. It won't kill you to not play your PSP for awhile. ^_^
Well, I ordered another replacement screen. I also place highest bid for Power Stone for Sega Dreamcast. If I have money leftover, I could get another Sega Dreamcast controller for some two player action. Then I could get two more controllers for four players down the road.
