Doom III
Meh...It's overtly violent (and I seem to have issues with that, much to my chagrin >:( ) and generally "action movie" in game form. If it goes along with other Id works, the story won't be fleshed out at all, and I'll have spent mah time slaying demons, zombies, and bathing in blood for generally no purpose.
That said, the story so far has been carried along by audio logs and E-mail, and it's rather interesting. It has also, admittedly, also made me jump a few times...stuff jumping out from places there shouldn't be places.
Dunno if I'll complete it or not, but I saw it in my desk drawer and went "O hai...I has new compy...lez try dem graphics, no?"
I have issues with the ridiculousness of the premise though...XD

Sea battles rock. I wish surrender wasn't an option though. Much more fun when they sink.
I also have a strange urge to get a musket.

A three hour long LAN game with my brother. Why'd it take three hours? Because my brother is about as offensively useful as a pointy stick. And about as defensively useful as paper.

This. Except, once you have to manage huge sea battles, I think the complexity and the need for repeated "pause, give orders, play" over and over makes it lose its sense of awesomeness, for me anyway.Orodrist wrote:Empire: Total War.

About 21 hours in. I unlocked some Specializations (Duelist, Templar, and one more), finished some minor side-quests, and made a BOAT LOAD of gold by selling potions. I started with about 50 gold, bought ingredients, sold my stall smack of potions for about 150 gold. I did this process around 7 times, and I'm at 1,350 gold.
I finished some DLC, so now I have a place to store my extra gear, and forged an awesome sword for my tank. My next journey has me fending off werewolves. Yay.
Also, my character:

I have had to resort to only using the lego style skin. Everything else is too flashy and hurts my eyes. It's really fun though, much more fun than regular Pac Man.
Before that I played some Reach. I finally reached Lt. Colonel and unlocked the Mark V helmet. My Spartan looks awesome now.

I was going to say, "potions don't sell for more than the ingredients" but I see you went Dwarf. Privileged little people. We humans have to make money the old fashioned way- by stealing it from everyone else. =P Also, are you talking about gold or silver? 50 gold in DA:O is a boatloat by itself. 1k is freaking ridiculous.Keero wrote:Dragon Age: Origins

Been playing DA:O- Awakening. Blew all my money on a fancy new dagger. Of course, I've no idea how I can sneak around as well as I do when one of my weapons doubles as a torch and the other has lightning arcing all over it. Nevertheless I still manage to get behind enemies and stab them a few times before they know I'm there.

Call of Duty: Black Ops
Holeh Shnap. This games incredible. MP is amazing, especially the zombies and CoD points. The campaign is one of the best out of all of them. I think im almost finished with it. Viktor Reznov is a pretty epic character. More violent then the others but still a great game. Loved the prison break level. Also dead ops ftw

Super Mario 64 DS.
Good game. My Mum went to the doc today and I sat out in the car gaining power stars.
I earned enough before opening the first Bowser door to open number one AND two without playing any basement levels. XD
