I'm seeing Benjamin Button tonight.

Yeah. I'm excited out of my mind.

Also... I really, really want to see The Savages, Obi.

Your excitement will be met by...curiosity. It is most definitely a curious tale. One that still has me thinking days after seeing it. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

You called Dark Knight slow, but seemed to fail to recognize the cinematic beauty in that film, the beauty that was achieved only by it being slower than your typical action flick. And here, you're disparaging of a David Fincher film... a director who tends to make thoughtful, tense movies. I don't know Benjamin Button yet... but I do know that just because a movie is "slow," doesn't mean it stinks.

You were telling him about Buddha, you were telling him about Mohammed in the same breath. You never mentioned one time the Man who came and died a criminal’s death...

Ghost Town.

My...word. Ricky Gervais is at the top of his game in this one. Maybe it's because I'm a sucker for British comedy, but this was the funniest movie I've seen in a long time.

A Shot in the Dark

Peter Sellers is a master comedic actor. He does it so well-plays a clumsy, overconfident idiot and makes it seem completely natural. I was gasping for breath at his performance alone. "You idiot! Had I not kept my reflexes in check I might have killed you with a karate chop!"

Fight Club

A masterpiece of cinema. It is intriguing, extremely entertaining, and practically flawless. Did you know that Empire magazine voted Tyler Durden as the best movie character of all time?

I recently watched the first half of Fight Club, and am soon going to finish the last half. From what I've seen... I agree completely with HG.

But... at the same time... well, I'll write a bit of a review after I finish it, I suppose.

On New Years Eve, I saw four incredible movies.

The Mummy

This is action horror at it's finest, and quite possibly on my top ten movies list.

A+

Star Trek: Nemesis

This movie was not so great. It had it's strengths, but it seemed to be lacking....something.

I can't quite tell what.

I'm a huge Trekkie, so that might have something to do with it....

B-

You only live twice

This is an excellent James Bond movie.

As good as the previous, in my opinion.

A

The Bourne Identity

I saw the third Bourne movie first, so I know some of what's gonna happen in the trilogy, but I loved this movie.

The camera was a bit jumpy at times, but it couldn't take away from the "Wow" factor that Bourne creates when getting past security, or beating up bad dudes.

A+
