Truthseeker wrote:Skyward Sword. The controls are awesome and are exploited to their full potential. The combat does not feel like aimless arm-waggling like it did in Twilight Princess, and some enemies really feel like you need technique in order to beat. The majority of the dungeons are awesome, though there are a few duds. The desert region in particular has some of the most clever Zelda puzzles ever. I found that the game on normal difficulty (which is all that's available until you've beaten the game once) is too easy and there are too many times where the game holds your hand. Overall I like it better than Twilight Princess but not as much as Wind Waker.
YEAH!
I have not beaten the game yet,
but I did just beat the ship dungeon,
I was a really fun dungeon, but the boss...
Spoiler:
At first I was like whoa! tentacles!
As I was running though the ship I was hyped to see the boss, thinking it would look like this,

and well... that did not happen. :lolno:
Any ways, it has been a good game so far,
though Wind Walker is my favorite. :)
Spoiler:
Love zelda but that was the STUPIDEST looking boss i'd ever seen in a game. xD

It was awesome. Now I need to beat it a second time before ME3 comes out to
Spoiler:
Trade Samara for Morinth and not let Legion die.

Yessssssssss. On Veteran. That game is stupid hard. XD I actually feel as though I've accomplished something completing it on veteran, since I had to work so hard. I must've attempted 'no fighting in the war room' 50+ times before I got it right. I know I spent at least 6 hours on it.

In the end, I was like "to bleeps with plannination 'Cappan Johnny; I'm going Rambo. PILLLAGE!!!!!".

And...for once in my life...that worked. Well, even. Took me about 8 tries doing it that way, vs tactically leaving me unsuccessful in about 100. Or more. Undecided whether or not I want to try to get 'Mile High Club'...It's only a minute timer. O_o No cheats either; I had cluster bomb turned on for awhile, but beat it without it.

*glows with pride...then remembers it's a game*

...Well I got the achievements. 40 for each mission and 90 for completion. And don't call me Shirley.

Mass Effect 2.

I finished everything, I mean everything. Only think I haven't done is the Overlord DLC, well, because I didn't buy it.

Gears of War 2.

'Bout time, really...I just kinda stopped playing it and forgot it existed. O_o Despite the fact that this was one of the most unpredictable games I've ever played,
Spoiler:
ALWAYS something new popping up. O_o If it wasn't a new enemy, it was riding a Brumak or getting eaten by a worm. Or wandering through a freakish research facility.
I think I preferred the first. Perhaps because it was less violent, though it's also possible it's because it was such a new game. Unlike anything I'd ever played before. The sequel, obviously ( :P ) couldn't make that claim, 'I spose.
Spoiler:
Also one of the more disturbing games I've played. Dom killing his wife left a foul taste in my mouth (that, come to think of it, may have been the reason I stopped playing it), as well as the torturous deaths of humans (and locusts) and general smell of 'this world is burninated'. I want to finish the series...but at the same time, I don't want to finish the series. XD It's an amazing game creatively and technically (and has one of the smoothest control/cover systems I've used), but I don't know if I'll be replaying it. O_O

I may. I probably will, I should say. Hate leaving unfinished trilogies. :D

Which is why it's ironic that I beat Half Life 2: Episode 1 and 2 last night. XD

Both were excellent. In fact, I think I preferred Episode 2 to Half Life 2. The settings were what did this, I think. As well as all the crazy enemies and weird places you had to crawl through. It had a Half Life vibe that even the sequel (which I loved) lacked a bit. Good stuff.

HATED the final level. XD
Spoiler:
I had so much trouble killing the Striders until I figured out I needed to kill the Hunters first. That part grated on me, and I think I had to replay it about five times. Much love to Valve for putting checkpurnts all through the fight. But I really hated it when Eli was killed. O_O I liked him a lourd, and it was just...depressing to fade out that way. Especially since I don't know how it ends.

I also was like "WUT" when Alyx got stabbed'd. Still, pretty amazing game. Aperture science references were hilaricool.

Yeah, but this is my second time playing it, so it was not as confusing. :)
(Now, I want to play Kirby: Squeak Squad. haha.)

Oh, and I just beat Zelda II.
(I wanted to beat that game before they update it and add the save thingy.)

Just beat Professor Layton: and the unwound future.
The ending was amazing, though a little sad. (it felt like the last game of the series, though it was the last of that trilogy)
Yeah, it was great, not to mention after playing the two games before it,
makes it kinda special since you know the characters very well.
