You were telling him about Buddha, you were telling him about Mohammed in the same breath. You never mentioned one time the Man who came and died a criminal’s death...

I love Far Cry 2, I think most people just misunderstood it.

I did hate it. But I was also playing on a tiny TV when I tried it last. Playing it wasn't exactly... enjoyable. There are still things that I dislike about it, but overall? So good.ccgr wrote:I thought you hated it? I enjoyed it

Now I remember why I stopped playing the first time I owned it. Repetitive missions that aren't very fun to begin with, and this time I can't play the online MP because it won't find a match.

Oh man. This game is so much fun. Playing with my brother right now, and... the last hour and a half totally disappeared. I adore this game. Definitely glad I got it.
Definitely not for everyone (lollanguage/violence)... but yeah.
I <3 it all the same.
Edit: Make that more like three and a half hours. Went from 9:30ish to 1:00ish. O.o
Somuchfun.

Killed...so many spiders. I have a +1 knightsword, and full plate armor. <3 In short, I look awesome. Except I'm wearing a hood still, as the one thing I have not come across in mah travels is a helmet of some sort. XD
I tried out an extreme challenge dungeon that numerous NPC's warned me "PLZ DUN GO IN WIDOUT FRIND"...I went in anyway. Because...I overestimated my own abilities due to the overwhelming arrogance and pride I picked up somewhere.
I got dead real fast. XD
Lookit that...I learned a life lesson for real life in my MMO.
Didna see that coming.

Now that I know my laptop runs SC2(which I thought it wouldn't) I can finally pick it up. I can't wait to get addicted to SC again.

Fallout 3
Yeah, I just wasted two days on this. Though... I really wish the aiming was better. For a fps reticle choice is pretty important. There are two main choices with reticle- a fixed hit area or bloom, but both show roughly where your bullets can go. Or you could go with no reticle and just have the option to go iron sights (Killing Floor is the only game I know of that does this) this actually works pretty well. However Fallout has neither which makes aiming a pain. They could have even done what Deus Ex did and have a standard reticle for moving around but when you sit still and aim it has a bloom function. Of course, I don't recall having this much trouble with Oblivion.
Anyway, it's been pretty fun, though my preferred tactic of sneaking in and killing everyone quietly rarely works between my lack of a silenced ranged weapon and the difficulty of sneaking up to someone. Also needs more Lady Killer conversation options.

Continued my System Shock 2 playthrough, with a good slice before work and a good slice after work. The story holds no surprises anymore, but the gameplay, atmosphere and excellent sound and voice work are still rock solid. Having a lot of fun with it. I played the whole Hydroponics and Operations decks today.
I'm wondering whether, after I'm done with this, I'll go play something else entirely or maybe try out some user made campaigns for the game. There are four campaigns made by a German woman called Christine that are supposedly excellent, they have new videos and new voice logs and everything. That will give me some new levels and stories full of surprises while keeping the familiar gameplay that I love so much.

Played a bit soloing a new character, a Siren. Love her. <3 Then played a bit more with my brother, returning to my Berserker. Also awesome.
I adore this game. So much. It's like Halo and Phantasy Star Online decided to get married, have a kid, and then have Aunt Fallout and Uncle Final Fantasy over all the time, causing the kid to pick up on some of their little quirks, too.

Yep. Pretty sure this game is equal parts Half-Life and Silent Hill. Though it's not as good as Half-Life or Silent Hill, so it's not a totally valid comparison, it does make for quite an interesting game. The only problem I have with it is that it spends so much emphasis on the combat, yet gives you so little ammunition to work with. I wish that it would spend more time on the fear (looool) factor and less on the combat.
