It's that way here. I haven't seen a fresh box of .22LR in ages. I rarely see .45 but they card here which is stupid <_<

Also my next gun is probably a 9mm so I shouldn't say anything <_<

Haha, it happens. I actually see a lot of .44 and .45 here, and I was just able to nab three 50-packs of .22LR last week. I also see a ton of 7.62, 7mm, .270, .30-30 (on and off, but more because of hunting season buying than stupid people's buying frenzies), .30-06, .32 (at locations that sell it), and sometimes .35. I almost never see .17HMR, .22LR, .223, .38 special, 9mm (though it's coming back, it seems), or .380. There's others, but not that come to mind. I think that covers the Wal-Mart selection But you know what will always, always, ALWAYS be there? Shotgun shells. So we have that going for us, which is nice.

What's the ammo selection like in your area? It seems to me that people snatch up different calibers in different areas, though I can't say for sure.

Around here it's no rimfire, scarce handgun ammo of all kinds short of the magnums, no .223/5.56mm and rapidly depleting stocks of Soviet bloc calibers. A few hunting calibers, but the shelves are pretty bare. But I can get .308/7.62mm NATO by the case. And yeah, shotgun shells. Even the good stuff like PDX1.
