Yes.
To be honest Hojo was pretty forgettable (haven't played DoC and while his part was interesting and compelling in FF7 he was vastly overshadowed) and Sephiroth was... well, not forgettable but pretty much the opposite of compelling.
I'd love to see FF6 remade with modern graphics. They haven't done that yet, have they?

They have remade Final Fantasy III and IV though.

Sephiroth without a doubt for me. When One Winged Angel starts to play.. Well just watch this vid and it sums it up

Kefka is next, although the only game Ive played with him in it is Dissidia 012.
On a sadder note I found out my FF7 data is corrupted...

Sephiroth is more of a goodguy to me, he did me a favor by killing Aerith. Hojo on the other hand, he was the Doctor Mindbender of Shinra. All talk and no performance. He probably paid another scientist to do his work for him.

It's just that I get usually get sucked into games, (metaphorically speaking of course.)
and I do take certain character deaths very seriously.
So now you can probably imagine my reaction when I read that.

I think that it's unfair to assume that the people of Midgar are completely human. And also, this is a video game... So the plot DID dictate that Aerith must die. I don't make these rules, but that's how the plot works. Also, Aerith is an ancient, so who knows how things work in her physiology.
