Yup, in the past Sony has made three version of the PSP.
The PSP, PSP 2000, and the PSP 3000. (I think that's what they are called.)
Nintendo also have made,
the Nintendo DS, DS light, DSi and the DSi XL.

They are also gong to be releasing the 3DS XL soon.
(Though I myself don't care for bigger screens, and I think the normal 3DS looks better. (If that matters. XD ))

The upgrades don't have more features then older versions, (though the DSi did had some new features over the DS/light.)
New versions usually upgrade stuff like longer battery life, bigger screen, it's lighter, etc. (Nothing huge, but it's nice.)

Nate, did I explain all of that right?

I would have mentioned the older systems (like the Game Boy), but yeah. :)

I seem to remember the progressively better version of the PSP to have various features unavailable to previous versions but I really don't remember. I had a PSP for 2 years and it stopped reading discs

There is a place you can send it to to get repaired for only around $80-$100.

It's pretty good.

My motto is "If someone else can repair it, so can I"

Because buying a used one at GameStop means you carry all the original owner's problems with you. It is a used game after all (though I'm not complaining)

I'm gonna wait for winter before I buy one. Someone's gonna drop the price just enough for me to capitulate and go for it, being that I love gaming and hate money.

Money is not the root of all evil. The LOVE OF MONEY is. Money is money, bro. So there is no reason to hate it. Because in case you forgot, we need it. God is the one who came up with the concept of money.

The love of money is the roots of all kinds of evil.

I should know. I love money.

Curious how this materialist thread on the exchange of money for earthly treasures is so prevalent in a Christian forum.

If the thread doesn't lie, it's you who posted thread in the first place. It's you who is so undecided about getting a "worldly treasure" that you made a thread to talk about it. And it's you who decided to wait for the Vita so you can keep more of your money.

And that's fine. But don't suddenly take a holier-than-thou road implicating us of hypocrisy.

Is this about me saying I love money? Yes. I do. I work very hard for it and I spend much of my time in the pursuit of it.
Why? Because it keeps a roof over me and my wife's head.
It puts food on the table.
It allows us to enjoy many facets of life that would have never been possible otherwise.

And you know what? Someone does that for you.
Money is an incredible system that facilitates most of the advances of modern society.
Money is good. So don't go around saying you hate it, when you're more than ready to reap the benefits from it.

Greed and selfishness is another discussion, but arguably still beneficial in a matter of degrees.

I didn't. I'm still the same wretched lowly sinner that we all are. I was just making a curious observation.

But yeah. Gotta love irony!

For me, I hate seeing money go away to earthly things. I tend to get buyers remorse for almost everything I buy because I feel like I could have spent that money helping someone who is in need.

It's a struggle I have. I like buying things, and I hate when I let myself go and spend a ton of money on something that is for my own pleasure. I always wait for a sale, just so I wouldn't feel like I'm sinking too much money into something that I'll eventually get tired of. It's the reason why I decided to sign up for PSN plus and why I rent games instead of buying. I don't care if I won't own the game when my subscription/rental period is up, as long as I didn't spend hundreds of dollars on something. I'd rather give that money to someone who needs it.

I know I recently spent around 700 dollars on a new computer, and trust me, I felt like crap about it for days. I doubt I'll ever let myself sink this much money for a computer ever again.

Changed my mind:

Not buying a Vita. My $250 investment seems like foolishness now.

I'll make cheaper investments that I can live with, like Shadow of the Colossus HD or Journey or something.
