Gratuitous Space Battles. It's a game that was part of the last Humble Bundle I picked up. It's definitely a different approach to a strategy game. You design your spaceships and then determine what formation to use on the battlefield and give commands. And then... that's it. The ships duke it out on their own, and the winners and losers are determined solely by what actions you took before the fighting actually commenced. The graphics are impressive and even though the banter between the ships is amusing at first, it gets monotonous before too long.
