Modern Warfare 2
A month of Gold for free. Happeh times. I totally hit a stride at one point where I was pwning noobs left and right. Headshots, kill streaks, bringing missiles down on peoples heads. Even knifing several guys that I had previously been in firefights with.
Directly after that I got mowed down a dozen times without a single kill, but still. I've also decided that I vastly prefer Modern Warfare 1 over Halo 3. I'm not even really understanding why someone would bother with H3. Maybe Reach is different.
What was the last game you played?

Although I love Halo and am not a fan of the COD series after MW, I have to say you really can't compare the two. Really, all they have in common is that they are two popular FPSes.Chozon1 wrote:Modern Warfare 2

COD is a visceral, intense, fast, yet more solo experience. The multiplayer is based more on personal achievement. You continue so you can get that new gun or perk that will make you even more powerful (which really doesn't). The game rewards people who play a lot overall, and play well in a single game.
Halo is best played with multiple friends. It's slower, more methodical, and in some ways more balanced. The multiplayer is basically based on symmetrical gameplay. The power weapons are rewards for teamwork and/or sheer speed or map knowledge.
Anyway, I last played Metro 2033. Pretty sweet so far. Atmosphere does a lot for me. haha

That's a big reason why I preferred COD over BF, because I'm only responsible for my own victory (EDIT: the opposite of BF1942....at least from what I played of it). But I stopped following after MW1 too. Anyone have any suggestions of a good sci-fi game that's like COD? Besides Black Ops 2.Pheonix wrote:COD is a visceral, intense, fast, yet more solo experience. Oh, maybe I put things the wrong way....I was saying that COD was about solo gameplay, unlike BF1942.ChickenSoup wrote:noooo no dude BF games are team gameplay D:

Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crackin Time.
This is my second R&C title, but it's the first of the traditional pattern - way back when I bought Starhawk, I got a 1 month PS+ voucher, and a handful of games went free for PS+ (i.e. LBP2, Just Cause 2, and R&C: All 4 One).

That's exactly why I can compare the two; They're generally the defacto standard for FPS multiplayer on the Xbox. There's lots more titles sure, but those are the mainstream bigboys.Pheonix wrote:Although I love Halo and am not a fan of the COD series after MW, I have to say you really can't compare the two. I also have apparently had a wildly different experience than you. I found Halo just as fast, but simpler and actually easier. I never needed a different gun than the battle rifle, and in fact the times I tried to use more powerful weapons...I got pwned. XD Badly.
In CoD, its been my experience that the better equipment did make a difference, if small, but the perks for advanced characters made a world of difference. Most of my deaths in that game come from harrier strikes. You can't dodge those things.
So...no u. >_>
Last I played was Techno Kitten Adventure. I played it when I was sleepy and my eyes started crossing. And I'd lose focus. And I felt like something had been slipped into my food.
But I still loved it. <3
