Darth, no one was playing the "circumstance card," as you put it.
Simply, your views of that passage of the Bible are contextually based. Which is fine. Just don't expect everyone else to adhere to it.

You were telling him about Buddha, you were telling him about Mohammed in the same breath. You never mentioned one time the Man who came and died a criminal’s death...

C'mon. You're not infallible. Neither am I. Just because (since I happen to agree somewhat on a certain aspect of this) we think a certain way doesn't mean we're right.
And getting ticked off at someone else because they don't agree with you... doesn't even make sense.
Come on.

Wasn't this originally a simple question about which you listened to more, Christian or secular?

I listen to Cradle of Filth. They are pretty good despite the fact that they are satanists.

Relient K, Keven Max, Flyleaf, Toby Mac, Jars of Clay, Skillet, Switchfoot.
I used to listen to secular music like Jesse McCartny or whatever his name is. I also used to listen to Hilary Duff and NSYC because they are all apropriate. But then I realized i really hated all of them. Hilary Duff is okay but I don't listen to her. Then there is all of the inappropriate secualar music. I don't know all of the names but I have listened to it at my friends house and it was pretty bad.

90% of the time it's Christian music, the other 10% is probably video game tunes from the NES or Official Sound Tracks from newer games. I listened to a lot of secular music growing up, and it just made me more depressed due to all the selfish lyrics and such. It didn't help me grow spiritually but made me doubt my faith since the world was going to crap and the music just added to that. I listen to Air1 now and then since they got some decent new music for Teens, but otherwise, I find some Christian artists on IMEEM and the like.
But to each his own, eh?

There are plenty of good secular bands. You just aren't looking hard enough. Granted, there are some nasty ones, but there are also clean and really cool ones out there. Like 30 Second to Mars and Serj Tankian's solo stuff. I personally can't stand Christian music, because I don't like how it sounds.Spam_Master wrote:christwarrior wrote:What have you listened to?Spam_Master wrote: Christian, I don't really have any secular i listen too, they all swear allot or talk about drugs or other things.
