Paid DLC adds New Playable Characters, Modes, Systems, and More

BURLINGAME, Calif. – Feb. 13, 2025 – The 1 vs. 1,000 hack ‘n’ slash roguelite action of WARRIORS: Abyss just got even more intense as KOEI TECMO America and developer Omega Force announce the release of six new paid DLCs in collaboration with DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS. The DLCs, which include new playable characters and brand-new modes and systems, as well as new bosses and BGM tracks, can now be purchased. WARRIORS: Abyss is available as a digital-only title on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Nintendo Switch™, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Steam®.

As part of the main content set, fans will be able to join forces with the nameless hero of DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS to traverse the merciless trials of hell. Additionally, the new ORIGINS mode, the companions system, BGM, and bosses – including the infamous Lu Bu – take the adrenaline-filled gameplay of WARRIORS: Abyss to the next level.



Also available for purchase is a new playable character set which allows fans to descend into the inferno alongside Zhang Jiao, Dong Zhuo, and Lu Bu from DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS. Finally, four types of other character version sets (Wei, Wu, Shu, and Other) have been released, giving players the ability to swap existing characters from each faction with their respective DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS version, such as their voice lines, clothing, and abilities. Fans will delve into the abyss and battle their way through the hordes of enemies that await them with their unforgettable teammates from DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS.

WARRIORS: Abyss is available on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Nintendo Switch™, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC via Steam® in standard, Deluxe and Hack’n’Dash editions. The game features Japanese voices and texts in English, French, Spanish, German and Italian.

Set in the floors of a randomly generated “hell,” players battle through waves of enemies from all directions as they delve into the abyss where the arch-villain, “Gouma,” awaits. Along the way, players meet new characters and find items to select from to strengthen their team. These selections can be combined to unleash powerful effects, allowing for a variety of strategic approaches. Since the characters and items will change with each playthrough, players will need to craft new strategies in order to find success. WARRIORS: Abyss introduces a new way to play a WARRIORS title by combining the exhilarating feeling of 1 vs. 1,000 action with roguelite elements – such as randomly generated stages and items, and enhancing player strength through choices – allowing for a different experience with each playthrough while also encouraging countless hours of replayability.
