Dark Deity 2 Marches onto Xbox and PlayStation This November
A New Era in Strategy RPGs Expands to Consoles
[San Francisco] October 30, 2025- Sword & Axe LLC, in partnership with publishing platform indie.io, is thrilled to announce that Dark Deity 2, the acclaimed tactical RPG sequel to the indie hit Dark Deity, will launch on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 on November 7, 2025. Players can wishlist now on both platforms ahead of its arrival next week.
After captivating players on PC and Nintendo Switch, Dark Deity 2 makes its way to current-gen consoles, bringing its rich pixel art, fully voiced narrative, and deeply customizable tactical systems to an even wider audience. Set 25 years after the events of Dark Deity, this sequel reawakens the war-torn realm of Verroa, where the Eternal Order once restored peace, but a new empire now seeks to claim it.
Players will lead Gwyn and Riordian, descendants of the original heroes, as they unite twenty unique warriors to resist a vast and holy invasion. Commanding the Eternal Delegation, players will forge alliances, decide the fate of kingdoms, and outmaneuver powerful foes across 30 story-driven chapters of voice-acted tactical combat.
With 45 branching classes, each offering distinct playstyles and abilities—from cosmic mages to crocodile-summoning wardens—Dark Deity 2 empowers players to build their ideal army and craft strategies as varied as their heroes. Every battle is a blend of risk and reward, where small decisions ripple across the story, relationships, and eventual outcome of Verroa’s war.
Beyond the battlefield, Dark Deity 2 introduces a robust campaign customization suite that allows players to fine-tune recruitment order, difficulty settings, and more—ensuring each playthrough feels uniquely their own. Combined with narrative choices and dynamic route splits, no two campaigns will ever unfold the same way.
Following its “Very Positive” reception on Steam and successful debut on Nintendo Switch, Dark Deity 2 continues to deliver the signature depth and heart that made the series a standout among tactical RPG fans worldwide. Featuring a fully voice-acted main campaign with performances from an acclaimed cast led by Allegra Clark (Apex Legends, Jujutsu Kaisen) as Queen Rashida, alongside other notable voice actors who bring Verroa’s heroes and villains vividly to life.
Players can wishlist Dark Deity 2 now on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and prepare to lead the Eternal Delegation when the game launches on November 7, 2025.
