A new study finds the longest video game to beat, New Leaf, takes gamers 469 hours on average.
At that rate, playing video games has become a full-time job!
Solitaired analyzed more than 1,300 video games over 30 years. Here’s what they found:
In 2021, games took less than 40 hours to beat on average, now its up to 66 hours.
Gamers generally like long games. Out of the top 20 longest games on our list, just four have an average player rating below 80%
Turn-based, role-playing, and simulation are the three longest genres on average.
In 4 years video games have become almost 2x longer
