“Be a Part of It” - Train Sim World VR: New York Arrives Today on Meta Quest!

NEW YORK – March 31, 2025 – Dovetail Games and Just Add Water are proud to announce that Train Sim World VR: New York launches today, bringing an unprecedented simulation experience to Meta Quest 2, Pro, 3 and 3S. Developed by Dovetail Games in collaboration with VR veterans Just Add Water (DIG VR, Sniper Elite VR), this is Dovetail’s first venture into the world of virtual reality.



Train Sim World VR: New York takes place on the Metro-North Railroad Harlem Line - one of the oldest (and busiest) train lines in the USA. You’ll be responsible for safely transporting commuters aboard the M3A and M7A trains, meticulously recreated in VR for a singular simulation experience. Get hands-on in some iconic driver's seats, and make sure you wave at the railfans along the route!

Two ways to play:

Career Mode – Start as a rookie engineer and work your way up by completing challenges, receiving instructions from management, and proving your skills. Compete with friends and players worldwide to become the best of the best.
Journey Mode – Looking for a more relaxed experience? Hop off the train and explore the Harlem Line’s stations, collecting souvenirs, taking pictures, and interacting with the environment at your own pace.

When you clock off after a long day, you can unwind in your very own New York apartment. Decorate with the souvenirs you’ve collected, or simply sit back on the couch, relax, and take in your surroundings.
