Fast-paced action platformer Elsie's blazing rock fusion soundtrack with several bonus tracks by composer Eric Benaim is out now via Scarlet Moon Records

SAN DIEGO - March 14, 2025 - Scarlet Moon and composer Eric Benaim are thrilled to make available the highly-anticipated soundtrack to Elsie, a technicolour, hyperkinetic, rogue-like action-platformer filled with procedurally generated levels, an army of robots to blast through, and a wide scope of items and weaponry to make each run unique. Developed by Knight Shift Games and published by Playtonic Friends, players have been blasting their way through robot armies for months, but haven't been able to enjoy the soundtrack outside of the game until now. The score is equally "kinetic" with its sleek rock fusion stylings. Listeners will enjoy sleek exploration themes and blazing battle themes alongside several bonus tracks included for the completionists out there. "For the Elsie soundtrack I had the opportunity to work with a passionate development team," notes from composer Eric Benaim. "This provided me the freedom to create music featuring an eclectic mix of influences from the hard rock of 'Eclipse Skyport' and the salsa, merengue, and rumba sounds in 'Rose Garden' to the jazzy 'Circuit City' and Venezuelan waltzes and joropos of 'Howling Tundra.' My favorite track is the Howling Tundra's boss theme, 'Warlus and Big Omega' where I added a synthesizer solo over a Venezuelan joropo base, drawing influences from my cultural upbringing. Fans may also enjoy comparing the bonus tracks to their final counterparts, written seven years apart, as the bonus tracks were early versions of the main menu and station level themes. I aimed to provide an interesting and energetic listening experience for everyone to enjoy. Thank you for listening!"

About Eric Benaim

Eric Benaim (b. 1990) is an award-winning Venezuelan-born composer and arranger for videogames. He began piano and solfège lessons at the age of four, followed by drum set and guitar lessons at the ages of nine and twelve, respectively. At the age of twelve, Eric started receiving music theory and guitar lessons with Grammy-winning songwriter Ulises Hadjis, which he continued for several years before completing his high school studies. After leaving his hometown of Maracaibo, Eric moved to the United States and began his Bachelor's Degree in Music Composition under the teachings of Dr. Orlando Garcia. During this period, he honed his classical training and won several awards and competitions.

Benaim currently resides in Miami, Florida, and has been working as a composer and sound designer for videogames and animations for the last 14 years. He loves studying and writing in a wide variety of styles but is particularly fond of baroque music, impressionism, Latin jazz, and rock/fusion.
