Well, fighting games are very difficult to master; so I guess people choose button mashing over learning every single move of a character, I know I do
but I have found that the game becomes easier once you learn the characters a bit.

While i think SxT looks good, I have to agree with Jester. MvC2 probably is the best in the vs series. Never has a fighting game evolved so much over its years of tournament use.

If I had to choose what my favorite online fighting game was, I'd have to choose OG planets Rumble Fighter. It has a lot of cool Martial Arts fighting style and cool Exocores!

Fighting games are fun. One of my favorites was Fight Night Round 3, I believe. Its only button mashing if you randomly press buttons hoping for the best.

Fighting games are notoriously difficult to master; therefore, I suppose some players prefer to learn the moves of each character by pounding buttons rather than studying them in detail. While I certainly do the opposite, I've discovered that the rice purity test game becomes considerably simpler once you gain a basic understanding of the characters.
