I know I've been gone from this site for several months. Back in August, I had a rather routine surgery scheduled, but there were complications (you don't want the gory details, trust me-- I'll just say I lost 15 pounds in 2 days). I had the most intense pain I've ever had in my life, and twice I thought I was going to die. Since then, thank God I have healed slowly, but it's taken a while and I still have a few minor issues now and then. (Nothing requiring hospitalization, just some discomfort/minor pain periodically.)
So it's finally gotten to the point where I have enough free time to come here again, but I just want to say: It has given me a better appreciation for the day-to-day (yes, even these days). Always be grateful for your life and for God having chosen you to be among His people, no matter what you're going through! Things could always be MUCH worse-- I know that last sentence isn't always the best motivator, but when you HAVE been through that "much worse", you realize just had good you have it day-to-day. So rejoice!
