I love the guy. I don't care about the Scientology thing or the weirdness thing. I am a full-on Tom Cruise fan. When I watch a movie and he's in it, I know the movie will be good. My favorite Tom Cruise movie of all time is A Few Good Men with honorable mentions to Oblivion, The Last Samurai and Minority Report. Loved Top Gun, Legend, and was even excited when he did a cameo in Austin Powers 3. My guilty pleasure is I loved him in Tropic Thunder. He was so offensively over the top I laugh whenever I see it, it never gets old.

The only role I didn't really like for him was Lestat in Interview With a Vampire, but he was still way better than I expected.
People look at me funny when I say I'm a fan of Tom Cruise, because he is kinda weird, but I don't care. The man knows how to make great movies.

Arctic, I guess for the same reason you like him, I loathe him. He gets himself involved in these movies I'd want to see and like. It's not like I feel he does a bang up job. Actually, I feel he's more boring than Keanu Reeves. Not as expressionless, which Keanu Reeves' deadness adds a weird sense of character, but he still mostly the blank character to fit whomever into whatever action movie he's in.
