One of my favorite things from the Mario franchise is how hilarious and dumb Bowser is in the RPG series (at least the older ones).

Notch drops his regular inventory plus an apple when killed.
C418 used sounds from his cat to make the ghast sounds.
Hostile mobs cannot spawn in the Mushroom Island biome.

Snow for the win! It's much more prettier and makes the outdoors look brighter. I also love watching it fall.
