Protein powder is actually a pretty helpful ingredient for diabetics. I have a diabetic in my family, and by adding protein powder to carbohydrates or vegetables, it makes it a bit more healthy for them to eat various starchy foods, or add it to whole grain muffins to make a healthy snack, or just increase the protein of say...a smoothie or something.
That said...I ate cricket protein the other day in a chocolate bar. It is not, nor will it ever be, the other, other, other, other, white meat. O_o Unless you like the musty flavor of inset cages...

To eat, probably either cod or salmon. Cod is good fried, salmon is good cooked in other ways.
I think I'll pass on that powder, lol.Chozon1 wrote: Protein powder is actually a pretty helpful ingredient for diabetics. Recoiling in horror?
I don't generally recoil in horror. Disgust, maybe. But horror usually just tenses me up.

Eat some cricket chocolate; you will learn to recoil in horror. Actually, the realization that I intentionally ate ground up bugs is sorta...makes the bile rise in my throat. Ugh. Just hit me.

Pretty neat Game Show. Probably one of the few I would stand a chance at, lol.
Oh I don't doubt it. That sounds nasty. XDChozon1 wrote: Eat some cricket chocolate; you will learn to recoil in horror. Actually, the realization that I intentionally ate ground up bugs is sorta...makes the bile rise in my throat. Ugh. Just hit me.
40K lore?
I like 40k lore. I have to admit I really like the character Ciaphas Cain. If you've never heard of him, let me give you the wikipedia blurb:
Now you can say this is not a good guy, not even a hero. But in the uber-depressing grimdark universe of 40k, this is exactly the kind of character who makes it interesting.Ciaphas Cain is a "Commissar," a political officer of the Imperium of Man's troops. Commissars are charged with maintaining the morale and loyalty of Imperial troops, an important matter when one considers the horrific odds and staggering casualties of the "grim dark future" of the WH40K setting. Despite holding no standard rank and being outside the chain of command, commissars have wide discretionary powers, including summary execution or even decimation, in pursuit of their duties. Cain, having observed the tendency of many members of the Commissariat to fall victim to "accidental" friendly fire, prefers to lead by example and encouragement instead of fear, and has gained a reputation for charismatic leadership, self-effacing heroism and concern for the common trooper. This has spiraled rather out of Cain's control, as he is now regarded as a "Hero of the Imperium", and is frequently assigned to dangerous and unusual circumstances. The truth, as presented in the novels, is that Cain is the sort of person he himself is supposed to execute: self-serving, incredibly paranoid, a truly skilled liar, and happy to put as many bodies between him and the enemy as possible in order to save his own skin.

I kind of want to get the new rule/narrative books, because the stuff in them is really cool. Dang, I need a lot of disposable income so I can buy some spess mahrines and books.
The moment you realize you are so ridiculously outskilled the only thing you can do is hope not to critically fail?

It's a good day in tabletop role-playing games when that happens, lol.Chozon1 wrote: Sun Feb 12, 2017 8:52 am I kind of want to get the new rule/narrative books, because the stuff in them is really cool. Dang, I need a lot of disposable income so I can buy some spess mahrines and books.

I'm a fan, but I'll probably never be able to afford one. So expensive.RedPlums wrote:Sports cars?
