This could be a interesting topic. Sometime you get a video game, that you hate, but still cant quit, because you just _want_ to figure out the story and how to beat it.

My most annoying gaming experience, was the game Deep Fighter. A game that is most likely a mixup of Tomb Raider and a air combat, underwater.
I could never beat the real bosses without youtube. And the save Points was few. Sometimes it was frustrating how ilogical the events was. And the Fish were bigger than you submarine, who looked like a toy.
Still the story was really "serious" and a bit exciting.

But still so _annoying_ !

The Longest Journey.

This is an adventure game imported and translated from German that ended up winning a bunch of rewards... but in my opinion, it was very poorly executed. The big dramatic scenes were more farcical than worrisome, some of the puzzles were annoyingly complex, and it took pixel-clicking to whole new levels of annoyance (in once instance, you had to click on a little corner of a mirror. TWICE!) Combine that with repeated vulgarities, a storyline that was predictable when it wasn't being surreal, and graphics that didn't age well, and I was glad to finally be finished with the game.

They made a sequel, and a third game is reportedly in the works. I have no interest in playing either of them.

Dead Space: Extraction.

2 hours in, I was sick of the gore and repetitiveness, but I really wanted to see the ending.

In hindsight, I wish I had not kept playing. XD

Oh that's an easy one, Skyrim. But I don't know about story (since it doesn't have a story lol). I'll tell you one thing, I broke the disc into two and I BOUGHT IT AGAIN. I think I've bought this game a total of... four times? I finally went cold turkey and I haven't looked back since.
