Isn't that redundant?Bruce_Campbell wrote: bad cop.

anyway. Tell her to tell her darn lawyer to get tire treads put in evidence.

Oh the forgetfulness. Not really...mostly just haven't been on recently.
She did not get a lawyer, for various reasons I could not fathom. The hearing went OK, and it seems they're only going to make her pay for the damage she did and not serve any time or anything.
The problem is, even this is stupid. The photographs of the site clearly show that the main damage came from ATVs, not full size cars. O_o I'm...boggled that there is even a case here. In fact, even the cops who found her said multiple times that it was clearly not her SUV which did the damage.

It could have ended much worse. I'm happy it went as well as it did (unless you aren't, in which case I'm furious at the corruption of our system of justice).Chozon1 wrote:Oh the forgetfulness. Not really...mostly just haven't been on recently.

Not quite over, actually. That was the hearing, not the actual case. I'm uncertain when the next court date is.
How's that swift justice system working out?

From what I can see, it's working out horribly.
