i have a bit of a dilema.

Great for talking hardware, hype, and games outside traditional genres.

Ok so i got a xbox360 from one of the firat waves when they came out. A few years later i had the red ring of death problem. Microsoft fixed it for free but then not even two years later it did it again. I enjoy some of the Microsoft only games like the halo series and would like to keep playing them. I was thinking of getting a new xbox360 around taxtime. With the rumors of the next gen consoles coming soon i wonder if what i buy will be obsolete in 5 years. Any new games coming out will start being next gen only and eventually they will probably shut down the live for the 360 games. I dont want to spend $500 on a next gen console and i want to play some of the 360 games that are out now. My options seem like i could fix the one i have now and buy all the parts i need to play live, because i nolonger have any of it, or buy a brand new 360 that will already have wireless capabilities and will require less other parts for me to buy, or to make the leap to the darkside and go with the ps3, which im not particularly thrilled with. Maybe its worth waiting and saving for next gen.
