I couldn't help but notice...

Great for talking hardware, hype, and games outside traditional genres.

I'd have to say my strongest memory of the Lego Island games is that I was playing one when there was a shooting across the street from me.

I've gotta agree with ChickenSoup on this one. I remember I was playing a video game when we discovered that my neighbor had smothered his kids, stabbed his wife, and killed himself by lighting a grill in his car and dying because of asphyxia, but it's not a strong memory.

While we're sharing memories of horrible things that happened while gaming, I remember I finished Link's Awakening on the toilet.

In case anyone cared.

You were telling him about Buddha, you were telling him about Mohammed in the same breath. You never mentioned one time the Man who came and died a criminal’s death...

That's my only peeve about old games - getting stuck is all too easy.

But then again, I can't say Arkham Asylum/City with it's irritating color pallate and confusing map design (at least to me) didn't stick me either.

Stupid Mr. Freeze boss battle.

Yeah, I know where you're coming from there, I loved it. But, I have to agree it was annoying at the start.
