1) One of Saul's relatives was railing on David for stealing the kingdom from Saul. Even though David had done nothing.

2) A plea to God to save him and be his refuge.

3) He knows if there was injustice on his hands, if he had stolen or harmed an innocent, then he would deserve the treatment. He admits no guilt though, since he had done no wrong.

4) No; he was just asking God to act.

5) His righteousness and justice.

6) David is willing to be judged for his own righteousness. He trusts in God for his defense.

7) I think it's humans, and they will be subject to God's justice? (I'm uncertain I understand the question and quite certain the Olde Enlilsh has meh stumped.)

8) God's.

9) One pregnant with evil, and one who digs a hole.

10) It doesn't fight fair, and even when you haven't done anything wrong, it'll still come after you. And, in the end, it always fails.

We can lean on God and trust in Him when we're getting castigated without cause, and trust Him to work our justice.

Lesson 7

1. David has had several opportunities to kill Saul and take the kingdom by force and yet he remained honorable and faithful to not harm the Lord's anointed king.

2. David is making a case for himself and asking to be cursed if he has not been righteous in his actions.

4. I think Davis is asking God to take action

5. God's judgement and wrath

6. David is willing to be judged by God

7. The wicked are those with unjust intentions, the upright have integrity

8. God's

9. Pregnant with mischief and gives birth to lies. Digging yourself into a hole (of iniquity).

10. God will prevail against evil every time.

We'll all have our battles with the enemy but stay righteous and God will defend us and fight our battles for us.

2) The sorrows of death, deep treacherous waters.
3) As a Mighty warrior. Master of all.
4) I think it's the earth. Or maybe David's heart.
5) A pure righteous man, with clean hands; merciful, and following God's ways and judgments.
6) God. ^_^
7) I think it's God's promise to David that his descendant would rule over everything.
8) Saul, I imagine. Though in a broader sense, it's the man who refuses to follow God's way, but goes his own.
9) Romans 15:9. Thank goodness for study bibles...I had no idea. :\
10) God's promise to David.

God cannot be beaten. Any force coming against Him is like dust motes. We can trust Him to care for us.

1) When David was starting to reign as King over Israel.

2) During three years of his reign; because Saul had broken a promise.

3) Saul had tried to off the Gibeonites when Israel had promised them they would not kill them. He had sent three years of drought.

4) I think it was surprise that they had done something wrong.

5) Blessings, I think.

6) Those that follow God.

7) That the land, all of it, was His.

8) I think those were the nations David had been fighting against for so long.

9) I don't know, actually. I can't remember a time when David got sacked. It happened to Israel a few times (the Levite and his concubine comes to mind), but I can't find an instance of it happening to David.

10) That the only reason they excel is because of God.

That relying on yourself, or other humans will only get you into trouble. We need to rely on God.

5. I think it's referring to war victories, David won many battles as king.

6. Followers of God

7. Growth of David's kingdom

8. Many of those nations were enemies of the Israelites

9. Other than David's servants being shaved and sent back exposing their butts I don't know when David lost either.

10. Any army that God is behind will trample any army against Him.

Put your faith in God, not men. People will let you down, God will stand by you no matter what.

8) That God desires us to love Him, not simply follow the law.

9) A broken spirit and a broken and contrite heart. It means...we can't just go through the motions of being sorry, or jus make reperations for our wrong doings. We need to genuinely repent.

10) That his son will live?

Yeesh...no matter what we may do, God is willing to forgive us if we truly ask him.

6. Sin is purged and makes us white as snow.

7. Departing from sin, praising and honoring God.

8. Not only does God want us to follow His laws, but he wants our praise and worship too.

9. God accepts our worship and praise. Not works.

10. The 2 Sam 12-14 is talking about the baby conceived in this sin but I thought those verses were talking about the future temple.

No sin is too much for God to forgive if we sincerely repent and seek God in our lives.

1) I think it was probably after the child had died. Maybe even when Solomon was born, since that likely reminded him.

2) The one who's sin the LORD does not count against him, the one who has no deceit in his spirit.

3) When David tried twice to make things right by tricking Uriah into believing the child was his.

4) His bones wasted away all day.

5) The one who confesses, acknowledges and repents.

6) Evil, I think.

7) His hiding place, his protector. One who surrounds him with songs of deliverance.

8) A teacher and a counselor.

9) Refusing to admit to what they are?

10) AHHHH I hate these questions. XD To say nothing of the fact there are two uses of it. But Paul used it in (Romans 4:7-8) that, how joyful is the man God has forgiven by faith?

We need to admit to our sins for that they are, and then confess them to God. He will forgive us, even though we don't deserve it. And how freaking awesome is that?

9. Don't be stubborn about repenting your sin

10. Romans 4:7-8 True forgiveness by faith instead of flesh (circumcision)

Confess your sins and get right with God sooner rather than later. God will forgive those that seek his forgiveness.

1) When Absalom stole the kingdom out from under David.

2) Absalom, the men who allied with him. Probably the priest that alligned with him too.

3) As a shield around him.

4) That God would not protect him.

5) You can lift up your head to God to either praise Him or plea for him to help you.

6) God's holy hill. I 'spose it would be Zion, because that was the place God had given Moses the law.

7) I don't think so, actually. Absalom drew up the entire army is Israel.

8) The Lord sustained him.

9) Literally in the sense of punishing the wicked, I think. Not literally in all that should be done to them is a punch to the face.

10) Only God can save us and deliver salvation.

Though hordes of enemies surround us, we can stand firm with God as our shield and salvation.

10. God saves those who he chooses, it's not our choice

Last one. This has been a pretty good study, though the use of the KJV has tripped me up a few times. >_>

1) David was more concerned over food and bed and being awake all night, implying he was older.

2) As a thirsy man dying for water. I think I have, actually.

3) In the sanctuary; it implies that David had a vision of God, or that he visited the tent of the ark often, since the temple wasna built yet.

4) God's love; because though we can leave possessions, and even our life, behind, we cannot leave God's love.

5) On his bed, in the watches of the night.

6) I think it would be like a when a chicken settles down over her chicks, and there's no safer or warmer place for them than that.

7) Jesus is at God's right hand. It was also considered a place of especial importance.

8) I think that'd be Sheol, the land of the deads.

9) The food that was destroyed by wild animals. NIV has it as 'food for jackels'.

10) That it would end with him in the right.

God's love is with us always, not as a vague concept, but a real presence, even when we don't see or feel it.

Lesson 13

1. David seems more concerned about food and rest instead or winning battles. It also mentions God's previous help.

2. "My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me." I'm not as focused as I should be but I try to follow God and pray to Him daily. He is my moral compass.

3. God saved David from Saul and has made David kings as He promised and has led his army into victory on numerous occasions.

4. God's love and mercy is better than life. No matte what happens in this life we'll be spending eternity with god.

5. While laying in bed

6. God has protected David or shielded him under His wing

7. It's an honor to be someone's right hand man. Jesus resides on God's right hand side.

8. Sheol, not the permanent hell

9. battleground roadkill for animals to devour.

10. That David will persevere and praise God when the dust settles.

God is there for us throughout our entire life. Watching over us and guiding us from infancy. His will will be done and He will listen when we cry out to Him. We have much reason to rejoice in Him.
