It apparently began after B2K was released and it's a wide spread issue. I started playing after Christmas but I couldn't enjoy the MP because it keeps freezing. Kinda funny though, most people get BF3 for the multiplayer but it crashes within minutes of logging in.

Single player and Co-op works fine. After sifting through dozens of possible fixes like replacing the PSU and under clocking the GPU; my apparent fix is disabling my on-board sound drivers and playing with my headset plugged in. Most fingers are pointing to Punkbuster; in my case, PB is conflicting with my sound drivers. I can't find the link to the thread on the Battlelog forums that I found my fix but here are some:
