Okay, I've been playing RON2 for a few weeks now.
I just want to share my gaming experience
Just a few things up front I should mention:
- This game is a simulation...not easy
- War? NO GOOD
- Politics: a bit overdone, too much micromanagement
- Play as any country
So I started of with a conservative mindset as Iceland...not bad, but it was pretty boring:
I like war, It's not a problem to find justification in paradox games, but RON2 doesn't really support war.

Economic growth
ecologists hate/love you
oldest person hates/loves you
poverty
disaster in some other country - you can aid
So that's pretty much it, if you wish to be a dictator, you need to slowly take rights away while increasing the budget on society/welfare
or you can choose a country like China, which is already under the authoritarian government's control.
Playing as a liberal leader is fun, but the waiting kills me. There is a bit of satisfaction though in helping your country prosper.
Playing as a bad dictator is awesome. I had a lot of fun while waging war against weaker nations which you can annex or colonize at the end of the day.

Just for fun. About you question: yes you can speed up the game, but not very fast, you can skip a day/month/week but there are some minor stability issues involved(crashing, lagging, map turns white). There's a few important messages among all the useless messages you get, so it's hard to keep an eye on the messages while time skips. The speed up is useful, but interesting events take place very rarely.ccgr wrote:you don't have to do the review format for forum postsGood info though..can you speed the game play up at all?
