Modern Warfare 3

Hmm...Throughly enjoyed it, I think. The action was awesome, but it really just felt...exactly like MW2. That's not a bad thing, but for some reason MW and MW2 felt like completely different, yet similar, titles to me. MW2 upped the action, upped the scale, and upped the tragedy of war. MW3 just seemed...more of the same, I suppose. Still, I was impressed with the ending. I believe it was the only way the series could've ended. Good stuff.

Reach.

Oh my.
Spoiler:
Normally, I despise "EVERYONE DIES IT'S WAR" games but in Reach...in Reach it just felt epic and sacrificial. The Spartans gave their lives to save humanity; dying was just a side effect. Surpasses Halo 3 (I dislike that game, so not a surprise) but not quite Reach. Still an amazing game. I loved the ending, sad as it was. I was actually surprised by how much I enjoyed it.
Batman: Arkham Asylum.

Hoo. It was Batman; the one I watched as a child, the one presented in the movies, the man yet the hero. It was awesome. It was incredibly dark, gritty, violent (not sure how it managed to avoid an M rating; the flaws of the system), yet through it all...Batman is unphased. He's a hero; he saves the bad guys, the good guys, and all of Gotham as a matter of course. And untouchable, yet still human, figure. And dear sweet monkey fudge, you have no idea how happy I was when I heard the OG voices from the TV series. O_o

Still, the essentially nude Poison Ivy and incredibly twisted environment threw me off and made me actually not enjoy the game all that much. Don't see myself playing Arkham City, but I make odd decisions sometimes. :D

Christmas. <3

Just beat the first Uncharted today. A couple levels toward the end where I was like "really, I have to do this?" but overall an extremely enjoyable experience and I can't wait to delve into the next one.

Alan Wake.

Very, very interesting game. I think I rather liked it, honestly. The combat was fun (if...clunky, at times. Alan seemed to pick the very worst times to stop functioning. I died several times because he wouldn't drop a flare), original, and spooky enough to give me a thrill. Not scary, really, just thrilling. Had a nice build to it.

Story wise,
Spoiler:
I also found it very interesting. The way it was done, I actually had to puzzle it out as things unfolded. I was prepping myself for a very depressing ending, but I thought that was good too. Not sure I understand all the complaints I remember hearing about it being bad. I don't even get the complaints about being confused by it.
Lot of language though. And rather dark and violent, even if not bloody or gory. I'd recommend it, I think, in the end. It was, at the least, something very different from most other games.

That's actually the only Zelda game I haven't played. (Oh, and I haven't played Spirit Tracks ether. :P )
I did however watch a friend play it, looks pretty fun.

Oblivion.

Overall feelings: Still not as good as Morrowind. Didn't see the ending coming though, and with around 80 and still a few quests left, I'd say it was well worth the $8. Need to give Skyrim a shot someday.

Metroid: Other M.

I am very conflicted about this game. Moreso than any other Metroid before it. On one hand, it was almost a complete flip of the traditional Metroid. On the other, it was still fun.
