I've discovered via this thread that negative rep still boosts someone's rep points. It's a broken system

Hmmmm....

Well, anyway......Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing: Transformed looks promising. On top of that, it's coming out for Wii U.

Seems a lot of people are getting excited about it.

---------EDIT----------

I found this on YouTube!!!!!!!!!

Congrats, ChickenSoup!!!

So, this forum is about Sonic. What should I post here?

Hmmmmmmmmmm.....................

Well, I guess this works:

After seeing that, you can only imagine what THIS will be like:

So based on the videos that you just saw, what are your opinions on the two games? What do you think the next one will be like?

-------EDIT-------

I hope they come out with Sonic Factory. I uploaded a YouTube video supporting it, asking SEGA to continue working on it.

Unfortunately, I get about as excited for a new racing Sonic game as I get excited for a new Mario Party. But I'm actually hoping it will come out so Sega will have the room to announce a new regular Sonic game (especially with the Wii U coming out and Sonic 4: Ep 2 out of the way).

IT's just such a good idea, why would they not release it?

If you're talking about releasing the racing games, I have no problem with it in itself. There is obviously a market for those who want to play them or Sega would not have made another one (much like the Mario & Sonic Olympics games).

I guess I'm just impatient in waiting for the next platformer Sonic game to be announced. :D

I don't know,
but that gamepad controller could open up some neat possibilities for a chao garden.

Hahaha, sorry couldn't help it.
Well, as for Sonic I am not sure, but I bet Sega will think of something.
Though I know the graphics will get a nice upgrade.

Maybe they could make another Sonic Generations game where the classic and modern Sonic work together on split screens. Like one has to do a certain thing before the other can proceed.

If its a game like Sonic Generations I can't think of much, besides subsituting the touch screen for extra menu screens (which seemed to be what the 2nd screen on the DS and 3DS was used alot for). My issue with giving a Generations or even Adventure style game a touch screen is that it might be more trouble than it worth, being that I think those games were perfectly captured with the native controls (albeit, the Dreamcast could've used another thumbstick for better camera control).

Now if its a storybook game like Black Knight or Secret Rings there's tons of potential.

If they made a sequel to Sonic Heroes, with multiplayer....someone could play Sonic on one controller, Tails on another, and then Knuckles etc.

Even though JOJ650s was half joking (I think) you could actually use the touch screen much like the way the chao worked with VMU on the Dreamcast, just with better graphics. You could export them onto the controller, play with them separately and then import them back into the game.

Sort of like DeadManReedeemed's idea for Generations. You could do something similar with the special stages. I'm just not sure if stopping the game on the TV and then using the pad on another section of the game is more convenient, or just keeping everything to one screen.

The most obvious applications to me where the screen would be the most useful is in multiplayer, creative applications (like drawing) and mobility (taking the game with you). The 2nd most useful would make things a little more convenient. Like menus where you select alot of stuff (like an iventory) or something like a map where you'd normally have to stop the game and look at it. Stuff that essentially breaks up the gameplay flow.
