Sounds like just an another attention-craving journalist. I've heard bad things of the game basically just recycling MW2, but I think the homoerotic things are just out of his mind. Having only played MW1 campaign (which was truly epic), I acknowledge that there's some "over-masculanity", but imho nothing that you wouldn't see in a Van Damme, Schwarzenegger etc movie.

Some journalists can no longer write worthwhile pieces, they only see flaws. Yes, COD is ridiculous, it's made to be that way. It's trying to be an action movie. And besides, most video games have unrealistic characters.

If the guy was serious then here is my response: The bond between the 3 men is not a (COUGH) "Romantic" bond, but rather a bond that is formed between soldiers (Largely Special Forces and those who have seen a lot of combat) that makes them closer than brothers. ;)

I don't like MW because they expect you to form a bond with the characters while millions of people are dying...

This my friend can only be understood if you have been, or have a very close friend/relative that was in the military. And "millions" is on overstatement. Just my 2 cents.
