Story
Two Spanish priests decide to investigate a temple complex with three basements. As they make their way through to the lowest level, they break through a door to the inner mountain. Winds begin to blow and they see the shadows of other things moving in the darkness. The priests beat a hasty retreat and wall up the doorway and fill the cellar with stone. Dr. Alonzo has found the temple in Mexico. He has disappeared. Now Dr. Whitefield of the Fourthman Group has asked you to go and try and rescue him?*
Gameplay
This is a first-person shooter (FPS), which means you are behind the main character?s eyes, with your gun pointed out from you, as if you were holding the gun. You have a very wide variety of weapon choices, including a rocket launcher, a chain gun, a grenade launcher, a sword and a shotgun. The gameplay is in typical FPS fashion; you go around the basements of the temple, shooting down the UFOs as you find them. In the demo you can only go through part of the first basement, so you can get a feel for what it?s like. You can get lost in the basement; believe me, I have! Now, I will have to say that the Artificial Intelligence (AI) is not the best in the world. The UFOs just shoot you until you shoot them or they kill you. It?s not the best, but then again, it?s only a demo--and the first level. And also, I did think you went a little slow, even running.

Graphics
I love the graphics in this game. I would go so far as to say that they are as good as the graphics on the early Medal of Honor games. Now, maybe I don?t play too many FPSs, but the lighting on the weapons are superb. When you go into an area that has an eerie green glow, the weapons reflect that glow. When you?re in a reddish colored room, the weapons reflect a strange red. It is very cool. The walls and floors are pretty detailed, too. You can tell someone put a lot of work into it. All of the ?accessories? (some mood creators such as the ancient Spanish-looking designs on the walls, etc.) are well rendered, too. I did find a few faults in this game, though, in the graphics department. The biggest one was that, on the shotgun, it was as if you had no arm! There was a blocky hand, but no arm. It was kind of strange, but I guess you have to take the good with the bad. Also, the animation for when you shot the shotgun was a little jerky, as was the sword animation. The other complaint I had was that when you shot the rockets from the rocket launcher, the rockets would sometimes be ?absorbed? by the wall or floor, or whatever else you shot, instead of having an explosion.
Score: 8 / 10
Sound
The sound was a bit disappointing for me. It didn?t have any music playing in the background, and didn?t have any voiceovers. Of course, this might be fixed in the full version, but it sure wasn?t in the demo. Other than the music issue, the sound effects were well done. The guns all sounded real to me, although they didn?t echo like they would in a real basement--especially a stone one.
Score: 5 / 10
Controls
The controls were quite well done; very similar to most FPSs. Of course, if you don?t like them, you can always switch them in the options. The default is (on the keyboard) ?W? to go forward, ?A? to sidestep left, ?S? to go back and ?D? to sidestep left. The mouse is used to look around and turn, and the left mouse button to shoot. It is very effective, and I had no complaints, because hey! you can always change them.
Score: 5 / 5
>Stability
I had no crashes or bugs in the demo, except occasionally my computer wouldn?t let it exit properly. But that was my computer, not the game itself.
Score: 5 / 5
Appropriateness
Here you have to decide for yourself if it is okay to shoot flying robots with realistic weapons. I didn?t find it offensive, but if you have smaller kids, it might not be the best idea to have them play it.
