According to the Bible, when Moses died, the Lord buried him and the location of his tomb is a mystery. Deu 34:5 So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD. Deu 34:6 And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethpeor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day. The Tomb of Moses is about a professor who has discovered the tomb but has gone missing since. The word has gotten out, and there are many treasure hunters seeking this tomb as well. You must retrace professor Fog\'s steps and find him before it\'s too late.
There are seven levels and you\'ll be exploring places like the Professor\'s home, Saint Catherine\'s monastery at Mount Sinai, the ruins of Piramesse excavation site and Mount Nebo. As you explore you\'ll find letters between Professor Fog and his friend discussing Moses and God\'s relationship. Be sure to check out every phone you see because there will be helpful tips from many friends. There are many Bible pages and passages that offer clues to the many puzzles that need to be solved. When it comes to the puzzles I must say that this is probably one of the more reasonable games in that area. The puzzles are pretty logical. The challenging part for me was locating pieces to complete the puzzles.
Like many adventure games, look around and read everything! Explore every room and passage to save from having to re-trace your steps later. Your hand cursor will change when you can manipulate objects so you can easily tell what you can interact with. I did find that managing your inventory and using objects is a bit clunky and it takes some effort to open some doors even if you are using the proper key.
Graphically this game is woefully out of date. This game is running on the A6 engine and they did a good job with the level design and textures but this game looks like it came out ten years ago instead of 2007. I guess I\'m just spoiled by all the eye candy in today\'s games.
When it comes to the sound the ambient noises were good and I liked the voice used for reading the letters but the echo at times was a bit over-done. The voice actor reading some of the Bible passages was a little distracting; I never imagined the voice of God to have a Californian accent. In my opinion this game really needed some nice background music, as it seemed too quiet at times.
Although the game ran pretty good for me I did encounter some glitches. I was able to consistently crash my game to desktop by going back and trying to re-listen to a phone conversation. Also while on the phone you normally see the face of the person talking but after a while I was only able to see just shadows. It was weird but not show stopping. I think the menu/game interface could have used some improvement. It would be nice to have the option to choose to start a new game or load a save instead of having to click out of the new game intro and then load your save.
There are no appropriateness issues since this game is Biblical. You can die or get seriously injured but there is no blood. It\'s safe for kids and can be enjoyed by everyone.
You can buy this game on Amazon for $24.99, there is little replay value and the game has about 5-7 hours of game play. After you complete the game, you can go to the website and answer a question about professor Fog\'s location and get your name on the high score list. I have the 100th score.
