Full frontal assaults, stealth and subterfuge are your tactics. Sub-machine guns, assault rifles and grenades are your tools. The world is on the brink of disaster. Get ready for one of the most realistic military shooter game play experiences ever.
Failure is not an option.*
Game Modes
The Multiplayer Test allows you to play four different game modes. You have your typical death match and team death match. There is also Elimination mode where the last team standing wins. Finally there\'s infiltration where you either have to guard or recover a briefcase with secret documents, and you only have 5 minutes to do it. Like most multiplayer games, the more people you have, the more fun it will be. Unfortunately there are no bots available. There are many different player skins to choose from. You can be anywhere from a camouflaged sniper to an over weight slob. However, there were no female skins. :(
Ammo
There are many weapons to be found in this game. You have a variety of grenades (smoke, frag, and flash). For rifles you have multiple assault and sniper varieties. There are a few pistols and machine guns too. Worst case you\'ll always have a knife. Overall there are twenty plus military weapons you can use to dispatch your enemy.
What to expect in the full game:
The full game will have a lot to offer. It will have ten single player missions spanning seventy levels. Many of these levels will be in real world locations like Columbia, Hong Kong, and Prague. You will be dealing with real weather environments like snow, rain, and fog. The game will be running a tweaked Quake 3 engine and it will incorporate the Ghoul 2 model damage engine.
Appropriate?
From a Christian perspective this game is rated mature for violence. The Multiplayer Test is toned down compared to what the single player will offer. You can still sever limbs but you don\'t see intestines like the full game will. The Multiplayer test does not have a blood disabling feature, but the full game will have a parental lockout and violence level controls.
Overall experienceEase of use
The game was easy to install and the interface is pretty easy to get around. For controls you use the keyboard and mouse. There is no joystick support in this MP Test. The graphics were great using the Quake 3 engine. They were very smooth and the environment had a lot of detail. Occasionally there would be some specs showing on the map. The sound effects and background music was great and they added to the game. The game ran very stable, and I did not experience and lock ups or slow downs. Overall this looks like a fun game. It is realistically violent, but the full game will let you tone it down.
