Overview

The sequel to Red Faction, RF2 in many ways is a failure. While tolerable as a video game, it completely stunk as a computer game. The pc version lacked any features that would be expected in a from-console game port, such as multiplayer, mod utilities, etc. Instead, it retained the lame \'unlocking\' feature that was in the console version. Play the game again and try to get a different lame ending movie! Unlock new bot match maps! See new concept art the more you play the same 5 hour single player mission!

Graphics

Not much better than the first game. The textures tend to look dull in certain areas. Modeling could have been better. The lip sync was pathetic, and models jerked a lot.

Sound

A lot of the music was ripped from the original. Which is good if you haven\'t played the original. The sounds were fine. Nothing spectacular, nothing bad.

Game Play

If you can enjoy a ridiculously short single player mission and bot \'multiplayer\', then this game is for you. The bots are way too easy for seasoned fps players, even on hard. The actual story goes as follows, the Red Faction is now fighting a government called the Commonwealth on Earth. You are a nano-tech cyborg made by Sopot, the Commonwealth dictator. You and your friends were made to serve Sopot, but he later became frightened by what they could do and ordered them all terminated. A small group escaped and allied with the Red Faction to assassinate Sopot.

Content

There is an rather large amount of swearing. Just about everything is there except the f-bomb. There is of course violence, and a moderate amount of gore. Overall, I would not recommend you get this game, even if you liked the first. Volition made a very lame effort at porting it to the pc, and even on ps2 I wouldn\'t buy it.
