I would like to note here I used a walk through with this game and I may have missed a few little things.

Story Line

Where to begin where to begin, you play the role of Guybrush Threepwood a dashing young swash bucket Pirate (or so he\'d like to think) that has married the governor of Melee Island, Elaine. Well to make a long long long story short everyone thinks Elaine is dead and her position as governor is going to be taken over by a mysterious new comer. You must get Elaine un-dead and after that find the \'Ultimate Insult.\' You are to late and Ozzie and Luchuck banish you to Monkey Island. With the help of Elaine father and Jojo Jr. you must go back to Melee Island and rescue Elaine.

Graphics

I think that the graphics are satisfactory on this game. They defiantly aren\'t the best that are out in today\'s gamming world, but for there time they are pretty good.

Sound

Most of the time you hear typical Pirate music, but occasionally you may hear something else. The music is great for the game and I can\'t complain about it. The sound for the effects and the dialog are great too. There are talking parrots, monkey noises (such as Eek, Oop, Ack, and Chee), and cannon fire.

Controls

I found the controls to be a lot different from Monkey Island 3 which was what I was used to, but I\'d have to say the controls aren\'t that bad. You use your arrow keys to move Guybrush around and use the Page Up and Page Down keys to scroll between actions that you can take. It\'s pretty simple but it can some times get hard when you get him stuck some where, or walk by a door that you didn\'t want to go into but he gets to close to it and hops in anyway.

Replay Value

I\'ve only played this game once and because of some of the content in the game I do not have a strong urge to play the game again. Though one thing that would intrigue me is to go back and see what all I missed in different conversations I pasted up using the walk through. I would also play it again for kicks. I mean this game is pretty funny in my opinion.

Appropriateness

Ok this is where I break down on this game a little. First off there is one picture in the Scum Bar that shows the backside of a lady. I mean it might be what people call comic nudity in today\'s society but from a Christian standpoint that is just wrong. Secondly there is a lot of voodoo that is mentioned here. I can\'t say that I saw any satanic symbols or anything, but the game contains a talking skull and a voodoo priestess (all the games in the series have the priestess). Another disappointing factor in the game is a few cuss words here and there. The game also contains fighting with, in a since, magical energy. All in all this game is not for younger kids.

Basic Line

A good story line, satisfactory graphics, pretty good sound, and ok controls. This game is very funny, and contains quite a bit of slapstick humor. Not the best when it comes to replay, and very disappointing with the appropriateness.
