I have never played real golf before so this is a whole new experience for me. I\'m a miniature golf kinda girl. Some of the same rules apply: You want to get the ball in the hole in the fewest amount of strokes possible. A couple differences are that you are less likely to get a hole in one, you also have many clubs to choose from, and the holes are much farther away! There are many game modes available in this demo. You can play online via Zone.com or network play by directly connecting PC\'s. To play a game of golf you can play a tournament (in the full version), or do a quick start game. Finally for players like me, there is a practice mode too. Before you get into a game, you should set up your player. I like how you can import a picture of yourself. (Yeah that\'s my pic!) The requirements are picky but it\'s a neat feature. You can also choose your body animation, in the demo you get one choice. You will also get to choose your swing type, right/left handedness, skill level, use of a caddy etc. This is also the area where you get to pick your clubs. You have to take 13, and you get to choose from woods, irons and wedges. You can also modify their distances here too. There is one course available in the demo and that is Chateau Whistler Golf Club. The full version has six courses and a course designer. In many games you can also choose the conditions of the game. For example, you can set the wind to none, breezy or windy. The terrain is pretty realistic. When you hit the ball into the woods, sand or weeds, it takes a lot of effort to get it back onto the green. I have plenty of experience in this area. I like how you an replay your shots from different angles. During game play, you can view camera options, scorecards and player stats. You can also adjust your swing options, do a gimme, skip to next player, address, drop the ball, and if it\'s too tough move to the next hole. Ideally you want to get your shots below par, but I was not able to accomplish this ;) From a Christian standpoint, this game is perfectly clean. No cussing when you do bad. You just get comments like \'Ah come on Sergio, you can\'t do these things!\' or \'Yeah that was a terrible hole Sergio!\' The game was easy to install, it uses Install Shield. The graphics were good, they use 3D acceleration if you have it. There is very pretty, and nicely detailed scenery. The sound effects were serene, you can hear bird calls and running water. There was no background music in this demo. One of my biggest complaints is the voice acting. You have only one golfer to play and that is Sergio. It\'s very difficult/frustrating trying to decipher what he is saying through his accent and mumbling. I am sure you have more golfers available in the full version. If so, avoid Sergio. For controls you just need your mouse to play. The game ran very smooth and stable, I did not experience any lock ups or crashes. There is both single and multiplayer games available. You can either play people online via Zone.com or play against the computer. If you are a golfer and are looking for a challenging game to play when the weather isn\'t cooperating, or you just want to play people online, I would recommend this game.
