This game is based on World War II, the he story line being the conquering of the German strongholds and pushing them back.
Game play
What amazed me with the game was being able to use tanks, planes, ships and a large variety of assault weapons. Maneuvering the tanks and planes takes some practice, but once you get control the ability you have to conquer is awesome. I found playing the single player and finishing all the levels in all three categories (easy, medium, hard) gave me an advantage when I went on line and played multiplayer. You are able to learn to use all the weapons available and to fly the planes and drive the tanks with some ease. The game makes it easy to identify the enemy by showing their names in blue, while you own teammates are in red. I find it the most fun going in with a friend and teaming up. I also like the fact you can pick up the enemies weapons and use them as well as your own teammates.
Sound
I find the music annoying, but that can be turned down or off. The rifle fire, explosions, motors, etc. are very realistic. You feel as though you are actually on the battlefield.
Appropriate?
From a Christian perspective, the blood spill is kept to a minimum, which I find appropriate, and the battlefield is not riddled with dead bodies. However, on the multi-player you may have to deal with extremely bad language and names from some of the players. I am an admin for a server on Medal of Honor: Allied Assault and we use a word filter and have the ability to kick offensive players. Maybe the same can be done for Battlefield if a server chooses to do so.
Overview
I found the single player boring, but necessary to learn. The graphics were awesome and life like. I compared it to Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, only with more action. I found the game entertaining and fun except on the multi-player you have to deal with extremely bad language and names from some of the players. I just don?t read. I am an admin for a server on Medal of Honor: Allied Assault and we use a word filter and have the ability to kick offensive players. Maybe the same can be done for Battlefield if a server chooses to do so.
