It\'s been a while since I played the original. I remember it being fun so I looked forward to this demo. In the demo at or you are limited to the Marine, but in the game you can be the alien, predator, or the marine. Each have their own special abilities. For example the Marine can hack computers and use a wide variety of guns and launchers. The predator can turn invisible. Etc. Anyways you are given missions, but the whole point is to kill or be killed. As simple as this sounds, the game play is awesome! The environment is dark, you have to use lots of flares to see some areas. The music adds to the mood. The aliens sneak up on you, I actually was startled a few times! It\'s really cool how they have this designed. From a Christian perspective there are some things that I liked and some that I did not like. This game is violent, you kill either aliens or marines depending on who you play. So you can see some limbs flying around. Another thing that disappointed me was I saw adult magazines on the floor. The women had bikinis on but this was not really necessary. I have not played the full version but I hear there is swearing and a lot of blood and gore. For example, when you play the predator you will see skinned humans dangling. You can also collect heads for bounty. You might not want a young child playing this game. You can disable blood and make bodies vanish. Those features I like. They still let you see alien gunk though. (It\'s yellow) The game is easy to install. The graphics are good. The music definitely adds to the environment. There is a separate demo for multiplayer. As for controls it looks like it supports keyboard, mouse and joystick, again the joystick will be available in the final. The game is stable, it ran smoothly in Windows 2000. Overall a good game, but not suited for kids.
