Last topic got pruned, I guess. For those few who don't already know, I produce some electronic music. My main hosting site is at
http://www.soundclick.com/radioactivewatermelon
Anyway, I am back. During my short-ish absence I managed to produced about an EP's worth of new material.

Produced the individual parts over the past month, and completed the arrangements and mixdown this week.
New hardstyle song (first one since From the Gutter, actually):
Suspect Motives
A first attempt at psytrance:
Caravan
New, dark electro song:
Nightfall Zero
And an experimental breakbeat song incorporating samples from the Mills Brothers (this one is free to download):
Abandoned Mills
You can also listen to the whole project here:

/SSP
Enjoy!

Very cool, epsons.
I'll take an in-depth listen soon, but from what I heard, I like it.

I have a new logo.
Also, a couple of new songs that are in the mixing stage... I'll post them soon.

It wasn't me who made it.
Also, I completed mixing on one of the songs... kind of a Big Beat style song, with slower breakbeats.

edit: Also completed mixing on the other song version... a more fast-paced, dnb style song.

That would end the shameless self promotion for today. XD

I've completed another dnb track... and it only took me all summer.
In this track I focused on combining my ambient soundscapes and textures with sub bass and increasingly hectic breaks... I think it turned out pretty well.

I should be back working on my dubstep project if I can get Massive to work, and I have an ambient track in the works.

I figure it's time for a bump, and an update.
New projects:
dark electro:

dubstep project :
http://soundcloud.com/radioactivewatermelon/dubstep1
This was more to experiment with the genre than anything. Free to download!
minimal ambient track:

And lastly, an older trance song that I've just remastered to reduce some high-frequency problems:
http://soundcloud.com/radioactivewatermelon/trance3
Let me know if you notice any problems with the sound of the last one... muffled sound, annoyingly high-pitched hi-hats, stuff like that. No two headphones or speakers are the same, it seems.
Also, as you can see my song titles are as creative as ever.

True enough. It's easy for my "What was the last thing you did" posts to quickly get buried, so I should probably be keeping this topic up to date.

I was finally able to solve the problems I'd been having with one of my vsts crashing... and got a couple of projects done as a result.
dubstep2:
http://soundcloud.com/radioactivewatermelon/dubstep2
The first dubstep track I posted was not so much dubstep (more of a regular breakbeat song with the trademark dubstep snare pattern), but this one is truly dubstep, with some reggae influences.
ambient4:
http://soundcloud.com/radioactivewatermelon/ambient4
This is pretty much my first ambient track with drums... I think it turned out pretty well. On the melody side of things, I tried building the song around the beginning melody, but with three different sections that were meant to each add a different perspective to the original melody... if that makes sense. It probably doesn't because it's late and I'm tired, but yeah.

deep house track:

Dub track with samples from an old R.L. Burnside song:
http://soundcloud.com/radioactivewaterm ... rnside-dub
Drum & bass mix of aforementioned dub track, featuring some spoken word samples from Burnside:
http://soundcloud.com/radioactivewaterm ... m-bass-mix
Arctic-influenced jungle track:
http://soundcloud.com/radioactivewatermelon/the-tundra
Breakbeat track based on an evolving piano melody:
http://soundcloud.com/radioactivewatermelon/dusk
Drum & Bass mix of the previous track, which might be better than the original:

Most. Prolific. Year. Ever.
If you only check out one song, make it the last one...
