Skull Horde is out now on PC, where it’s bone vs flesh and business is booming (in the afterlife)
Raise an army, break the game, and finally get revenge on your own body in this fast-paced auto-battler roguelite from 8BitSkull
Edinburgh, Scotland (April 10, 2026) Skull Horde, the new auto-battler dungeon crawler from developer 8BitSkull, is out now on PC via Steam with Steam Deck and Linux support. The revenge-seeking roguelite invites players to take control of the flying skull of a necromancer with a literal bone to pick, as it seeks revenge after its own body betrayed it. Today’s forecast: bone storms, hectic synergies, and a rapidly growing skeleton workforce.
In Skull Horde you’ll raise an army of skeletons and send them headfirst into a battle of bone versus flesh, carving through procedurally generated dungeons packed with enemies, loot, and enough danger to keep things humerus.
Watch the Skull Horde launch trailer:
Each run drops players into a new dungeon filled with chests, shrines, and increasingly overwhelming threats. You’ll need to keep moving, keep building, and keep your skull in the game as you assemble a squad capable of surviving the onslaught.
At its core, Skull Horde is all about buildcraft. Recruit a wide range of undead units, each with their own abilities, then merge them into stronger forms to unlock new powers. Stack these with perks, loot, and dungeon boons to create wildly overpowered combinations that can quickly go from scrappy to skull-crushing.
Combat plays out in real time, with your minions handling the fighting while you focus on the big-skull decisions: what to build, when to reroll, where to explore, and how greedy you can afford to be before everything collapses into a pile of bones.
With multiple dungeon types, unique enemy compositions, and challenges that demand different strategies, no two runs are quite the same.
Key Features of Skull Horde:
Procedurally generated dungeons full of loot, danger, and questionable decisions
Real-time auto battling where your army fights while you bone up on your tactics
Merge units to evolve stronger forms and unlock unique abilities
Stack perks, loot, and synergies to create delightfully broken builds
Multiple playable characters with distinct bone-shattering strengths
Unique challenges that reward experimentation and clever strategies
Skull Horde is available in English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), and Simplified Chinese.
Skull Horde is ready to rattle and is available now on Steam, with Windows PC, Steam Deck, macOS, and Linux support. The game costs $12.99 USD / £8.99 GBP / €9,99 EUR and is available with a 25% discount.
