Phantom Line, Supernatural PvE Shooter, Launches Public Playtest
Phantom Line, the PvE cooperative tactical shooter set in a post-nuclear continent overrun by paranormal activity from former lead BioShock and Cyberpunk 2077 developers at Antistatic Studios, has launched its first public playtest.
Available from March 3-10, 2026, operators can download the playtest for the co-op shooter ranked as a top 350 most-wishlisted game on Steam, and dive into a post-apocalyptic landscape filled with reality-bending anomalous horrors.

You're part of an elite spec-op unit for a Mortfield megacorp hunting paranormal threats hidden from the public eye, tasked with investigating a facility that's gone dark. It has been a few months since your last mission…feels like a lifetime ago. But it wasn’t. Now get your head back in the game.
While you were in the freezer, we built you something new: Mortfield’s training facility. You will train under my direct supervision between March 3rd and 10th. Don't be late. Don't be soft.

PLAYED LAST YEAR?
Good, you'll notice the difference immediately. We tore apart the 3Cs (Character, Camera, and Controls) and rebuilt them from the ground up: new animations, a rewritten movement and interaction system, an improved camera, advanced spatial audio, and refreshed biomes and weather. Phantom Line feels almost like a brand new game, and in most ways that matter, it is.
In the process, we buried a significant number of bugs, fixed pain points from our previous playtest, tightened up networking, and optimized the world environment. The game isn't finished, but it's sharper, smoother, and punchier than it was.
GAME SUMMARY
PHANTOM LINE is a co-op (1-4) shooter set in the post-nuclear European continent. Your mission is to search and contain anomalies – paranormal activity hidden from the public eye, in an open-world map full of dynamic events.
THE OPERATOR - You are in an elite spec-op unit, working for Mortfield Industries, a megacorp that gave you a second chance. You‘ve been selected for the Operator Simulation Program called H.U.S.K., where you can transfer your consciousness between artificial bodies. Use husks in your tactics: scout, distract, decoy, or utilize many other strategies and commands to gain an advantage over anything in the way.
ANOMALIES - Hidden from the public, our world is full of paranormal creatures and phenomena dubbed “anomalies.” Leaking into our world through rifts in the space-time fabric, these threats to humanity grow each day. Containing these extremely dangerous events requires the most elite Operators.
BASE UPGRADES - A nuclear Icebreaker ship will be your base of operations. Customize your husk and cabin, showcase your weapons and armors to your friends, and modify your gear and body. Get briefed on the main deck before your next anomaly hunt.
WORLD - Nuclear war has just broken out, and you are in the Iron Corridor, a post-nuclear Eastern European warzone: lawless, resource-scarce, and full of things that don't show up on any map. Operators work without a net out here: hunt for food, scavenge for gear, improvise constantly. The anomalies don't wait for you to be ready. Neither does anything else.
HUMANITY IS AT WAR - to fight the anomalous horrors, you must turn into one yourself. Wield the husks for the cause. Augment your body with exotic elements found by containing anomalies. Become the ultimate anomaly hunter.

I am obligated to report that Oracle has once again raised objections. Oracle's position remains that CIVILIAN onboarding without full psych-synching protocols presents an unacceptable risk of husk degradation. I have noted Oracle's concerns and filed them accordingly with the safety evaluation process.
Subjects have introduced several corrective measures to address the documented psycho fallback rates observed in CIVILIAN recruits following psych-synching.
