First-Person Horror oneway.exe Splinters Reality into a Digital Nightmare Today on PC & Mac
First module of a loveletter to internet horror now available
THE INTERNET – October 22, 2025 – oneway.exe: Module 1.0, a first-person single-player horror puzzle game where the darkest corners of the Internet become reality from Disordered Media, introduces the real world to PARASITES unknown terrors today on PC/Mac via Steam.
Enter the domain of UNTITLED.EXE, an unfinished program created by three developers whose lives took a tragic turn, and — stop. Do not move. Can’t you hear that? Let Spiderface finish buzzsawing whatever that is. Or was. Okay. Encounter an ensemble cast of memorable characters inspired by the Internet’s most fear-inducing subcultures, and find a way to prevent their digital reality from consuming all we know here in the real world.
Navigate a virtual environment modeled after an operating system, complete with real, fully clickable programs and documents that reveal terrifying realizations. Follow threads of truth laced with despicable dangers and fall down interwoven rabbit holes to stitch reality back together. Wander through haunting 3D environments brought into existence by real Internet subcultures, and stay alive long enough to unravel what cannot be unseen.
Feel the joy of Anita’s terrifying turn as a mascot model cheerleader. Bear witness to Fiona becoming host to hatching eggs buried in her body. Become Kitty’s best friend (you already are, you just don’t know it yet). Brave Billie’s slasher-inspired beauty and brawn to discover critical clues, and don’t look at Meaty where her eyes used to be, either — we are not responsible for the reality that appears if you do.
Dig through the sentimental sediment of seven different paths before reality becomes irreparable, and maintain sanity with the tunes of an original soundtrack composed by Marcy Nabors (DELTARUNE).
“oneway.exe Module 1.0 is barely the beginning,” said Bugs Ray, Co-Founder at Disordered Media. “We built this story to inspire our players to talk, theorycraft, and speculate, but we also wanted to pay respect to the Internet cultures we grew up with. We aimed to capture the spirit of these communities and give them a face, a space, and an interconnected story in an interactive way fueled by media outside of games themselves,” said Spider Ray, Co-Founder.
