Vacancy at Haunted Hotel Opens as THE SPIRIT LIFT Launches Steam Next Fest Demo

Nothing beats a Jet2 holiday in this narrative-heavy, spooky deckbuilding roguelike

THE SPIRIT LIFT, the retro horror deckbuilder roguelike set in a haunted hotel from prettysmart games, makes a dark deal to summon a new demo to Steam Next Fest, from Monday, Oct. 13 to Monday, Oct. 20, 2025.

Be kind. Rewind. And seek the truth lost behind…

Going up? Ride a mystical elevator to ascend through 13 floors of increasingly terrifying territories filled with eerie enemies and unpredictable events. Prepare to reach the penthouse on the top floor and attempt to defy the inevitability of death.

Good thing death isn’t permanent here in the hotel! Squad up and try again, wielding a new set of cards, gear, and more to conjure alternative strategies and test the lessons you’ve learned.

Explore an ever-changing, 3D hotel as a group of ‘90s teens on the search for truth, gear, gold, and more cards. Customize a teenage trio and expand each deck to increase their chances of surviving the supernatural forces roaming the hotel halls.

Who knows what lies above? Collect night vision goggles, firefighter axes, rollerblades, and more to adapt to the dangers on each floor.

THE SPIRIT LIFT invites you for a free stay at the hotel during the Steam Next Fest demo, available from Monday, Oct. 13 to Monday, Oct. 20, 2025.
